Membership Project
The Arenal Volcano Foundation is an organization whose primary objectives are to raise funds and to serve as a platform for development, action, and communication among government officials, the community, private business, organisms, and international entities; in order to develop and support the Arenal Volcano National Park and its surroundings in a sustainable manner, through educational, cultural, and scientific activities.
FUNDEVOLCA has begun a membership program in order to obtain the necessary economic resources to fulfill the objectives for which it was created:
- Coordinate conservation and maintenance activities for the Arenal Volcano National Park.
- Purchase land to be integrated in the patrimony of the Arenal Volcano National Park.
- Develop and implement environmental education and sustainable development programs. Promote the development of the Arenal Volcano National Park through healthy resources.
- Promote a sustainable, ecologically balanced development of the commercial and tourism sectors of the region.
- Create a more efficient use of existing recourses.
- Consolidate the Arenal Volcano National Park as a sustainable development model, taking advantage of national and international resources.
- Hire personnel to provide services within the Arenal Volcano National Park.
- Manage concessions and non-essential services within the Arenal Volcano National Park.
- Develop and support any other specific project in other protected areas.
- Collaborate in the establishment of an emergency plan for the areas surrounding the Arenal Volcano National Park.
- Manage financial resources and collaborate with public and private entities.
FUNDEVOLCA has developed a program designed for companies and organizations looking to implement good business practices.
Membership gives you access to valuable services and marketing benefits as an added value, while supporting FUNDEVOLCA’s conservation efforts at the same time.
The membership system incorporates businesses and other public and private entities to form a part of our program, through financial donations. These donations can be made annually, per semester, or monthly, as the member prefers.
FUNDEVOLCA will use the funds to finance the programs included in its annual plan, directed as follows:
Trust for land purchases to integrate into the Arenal Volcano National Park patrimony.
Specific Projects of the Foundation (investigation, training, improving infrastructure, interpretation, maintenance of public use areas, etc.)
·Natural Recuperation Programs(protection and control)
- Environmental Education Programs
- Immediate needs of the Arenal Volcano National Park (supplies, equipment maintenance,etc. )
- Operational Expenses.
FUNDAVOLCA offers 4 membership categories:
Cecropia Member
This membership is available to businesses and organizations which support the National Park and its programs with a $100 annual donation to the Foundation.
Cecropia members will be recognized on our website as supporters.
Rights of usage of the FUNDEVOLCA logo.
Brand presence in 2 annual publications of FUNDEVOLCA promotional material.
Participation in activities organized by the Foundation and the Arenal Volcano National Park.
Vochysia Member
This membership is available to businesses and organizations which support the National Park and its programs with a $250 annual donation to the Foundation.
Vochysia members will be recognized on our website as supporters.
Rights of usage of the FUNDEVOLCA logo.
Brand presence in 4 annual publications of FUNDEVOLCA promotional material.
Participation in one monthly training session on topics such as conservation and sustainability, organized by the Foundation and the Arenal Volcano National Park staff for the staff of all supporting companies.
Participation in activities organized by the Foundation and the Arenal Volcano National Park.
Availability of native tree species for use in the companies’ internal reforestation programs.
Pilon Member
This membership is available to businesses and organizations which support the National Park and its programs with a $500 annual donation to the Foundation.
- Pilon members will be recognized on our website as Member.
- Brand presence in 8 annual publications of FUNDEVOLCA promotional material.
- Rights of usage of the FUNDEVOLCA logo.
- Participation in two monthly training sessions on topics such as conservation and sustainability, organized by the Foundation and the Arenal Volcano National Park staff for the staff of all supporting companies.
- Special discounts for the company or organization and its personnel in courses and workshops organized by the Foundation and Arenal Volcano National Park.
- Priority membership in activities organized by the Foundation and Arenal Volcano National Park.
- Availability of native tree species for use in the companies’ internal reforestation programs.
Ceiba Member
This membership is available to businesses and organizations which support the National Park and its programs with a $1000 annual donation to the Foundation.
- Ceiba members will be recognized on our website as Member.
- Brand presence in ALL annual publications of FUNDEVOLCA promotional material.
- Rights of usage of the FUNDEVOLCA logo.
- Participation in two monthly training sessions on topics such as conservation and sustainability, organized by the Foundation and the Arenal Volcano National Park staff for the staff of all supporting companies.
- 2 exclusive annual training courses on topics related to conservation and sustainabilty, given at your place of business.
- Special discounts for the company or organization and its personnel in courses and workshops organized by the Foundation and Arenal Volcano National Park.
- Priority membership in activities organized by the Foundation and Arenal Volcano National Park.
- Availability of native tree species for use in the companies’ internal reforestation programs.
